Helping Kids Understand Their Emotional Wellbeing
This nine week course from The Thinkology Coach teaches children that their thoughts create their experience of life, and that by understanding their thinking, they can change anything they want about their life.
Learning Thinkology helps children to grow up experiencing a happy, joy filled and balanced life.
I'm Nicola Henderson, and I'm The Thinkology Coach
I am a mum of 2 neurodivergent boys and a wife to an amazing husband.
I have taught Thinkology® as 1-1 coaching, as a parent and child led coaching and prior to Covid I was working in local schools facilitating workshops to primary and secondary children.
It's such a powerful tool in understanding how our thinking works at an individual level.
Our Everyday Thinkology® helps us to understand who we uniquely are and how we create our own experience within the world.
No one will ever see, feel, hear or think about the world in the same way you do. We all experience the world differently.
In this 9 week course, I show children:
- how they can feel their emotions without fear.
- how they can view their emotions as experiences created from thought
- how to tune in to themselves and others
- how they can think better, feel better.
"I have got more self-confidence and believe in myself more”
- Kieran, S2

Week 9: What I See Is Not What Everyone Else Sees
This week we are looking at how we view the world compared to how others view the world. We'll be looking at a child and parent scenario. What do we see from this?
“Our family life has changed way beyond what I thought it could.”
- Sarah, Parent of ASD female
If your child is struggling with worries, anxiety, stress or low self-esteem, it can seem like they will never change the lens that they view life through.
This is one of my most powerful lessons in Everyday Thinkology® and children are amazed to discover that they have the choice to change their glasses or view of the world at any time they choose.
When kids learn to see what their experience of life would be like from a different perspective it creates amazing changes.
Would you like your child to see the world through a different lens and open themselves up to experiencing life with more joy and happiness?
“The Thinkology lessons have been fantastic for us. We have really enjoyed doing them together and its opened up discussions between us about sensitive and difficult issues. M has definitely applied lots of the thinking and strategies in her everyday life and the lessons have had a positive effect on her being able to cope and handle some difficult emotions and situations. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your programme”
Susan
Parent of M - Aged 9
“It's great, even after video one. It makes you think. I am definitely going to learn something from this as well”
Marie
Parent of M - Aged 10
“I hope I’m not jinxing it but it feels like we’ve got our happy girl back. She is going to school without any dramas, she still goes in the front door but that’s ok. A is going outside with friends at break, enjoying maths and tolerating the before and after school clubs. All massive things for her a few months ago! She’s back to cheek and cracking jokes and it’s so fine to see. Still working on things but life is easier for her. Thank you so much for your help and support, it means a lot.”
Fiona

Any Questions?
These are the most common questions I get asked, but if there's something not answered for you - you can ask me HERE.
Yes. Thinkology increases self-awareness and teaches an understanding of how anxiety is created from your thinking. We think things with our mind, and then we feel them in our body. The understanding helps your child to realise when anxiety or anxious states are happening and it helps them to shift or change their focus to reduce the anxious thinking. There are also tools and techniques for reducing anxiety as it arises.
More about Me!
My main passion in life is to teach children all about their thoughts and thinking.
I have worn many hats over the years. Nanny in the USA, History student, Offshore stewardess, Kindergarten assistant are some of the most significant ones. I always had a dream to be a teacher and trained as a Steiner Waldorf teacher prior to having children.
I decided to change my career path after having my boys and I trained as a Coach, NLP practitioner and Hypnotherapist. The training really helped me personally as I was going through some challenging times with my oldest son. I was experiencing Anxiety and low self-confidence and he was also having issues related to his ASD.
There were very limited resources available to help my son and myself. I couldn't access any support or counselling that was child focused, or even ones that could help my child to understand just where his anxiety was coming from.
This is when I decided to focus solely on children's wellbeing coaching.
Soon after, I was introduced to a different approach to mental health and emotional well-being.
This training looked at mindset and emotional well-being from a perspective that any feeling, emotion or behaviour all begins in thought. This understanding totally transformed my own life and my mindset and had a huge affect on my children too.
